Hawkins is going away!
Not “away” away. Just not going to be at TSS anymore. Today is his last day at TSS and tomorrow starts his first day of full time 9Seeds employment! We’re only 2 hours into this shindig and I’m not sure how much longer it can last. The man of the hour has accepted every drink purchased for him and as you can see, there’s an awful lot of people lined up to buy him one.
Oh Joe, say it ain’t so
This is Joe. He came, he saw, he left. His leaving announcement came today so we’re at PT’s across the street to give him a brief farewell. What I didn’t know was that tonight is the start of football which is kind of a mixed blessing. Large beer for $2.75 drink special, that’s good! Fergie singing in the pre-game, that’s bad. Free buffet, that’s good! My local bar packed with drunken football fans, that’s bad. Budweiser t-shirt giveaways that say “Tailgate Ready”…that’s bad. I’m not staying for too much of this noise. I have some work to finish and laundry and packing to do for my trip to LA this weekend. WordCampLA, here we come.
Funtime at the bar
We went out to PT’s after work for some very deserved after work relaxing. It’s been a long week with a lot of changes and I’m done dealing with it. There’s rather a lot of us here today. Evidently I wasn’t the only one who thought this was a good idea. Oh yeah, the picture is of Jen on the left and Melissa on the right. Jen has been on 6:06diaries before. Melissa is a newcomer to the company as our new HR and recruitment person. She’s also really funny when she’s drinking. I spent the entire night playing with Jen’s hair clippy thing. It was one of those metal butterfly clips. I can mess with those for hours, not sure why.
The weekend is here
This has been a long week. Not really hard or stressful, just long. I haven’t been to PT’s for a long time so when Hawkins asked if I wanted to grab a beer after work, it sounded like an excellent idea. At some point Mike decided to join us too and I managed to snap them both for the diaries. I know what you’re thinking but, sorry ladies, these guys are taken.
