Team Voltron 2010! (delayed a little)
We never got a Team Voltron trip last year so this trip to Phoenix to see the granparents is an ever so slightly delayed Team Voltron trip. Here’s a brief rundown of the past.
Gilroy Garlic Festival ’04 (Which was pre 606 and thus, not linked here)
The Strawberry Festival ’05
Ensanada Cruise ’06
Utah ’07
Sonoma Wine Country ’08
Minnesota State Fair ’09
Glendale Chocolate Affaire ’10
Yes, the Glendale Chocolate Affaire. We didn’t even know it was here but if we’re on a Voltron trip and there’s a food related festival or fair around you better believe we’re going to hit it up. We got stuff covered in chocolate and fair food. We introduced Zade to a fried Snickers and we introduced Myya to indian fry bread. I got some of the best hand squeezed lemonade I’ve ever had and about a pound of fudge. This trip was a resounding success by any ruler you’d care to use.
Now to plan for Team Voltron ’11, who knows what shenanigans we’ll get up to this year…
Matt and Shannon, she’s special
Matt and Shannon are totally inconsiderate. I can’t come up with a good portmanteau of their names at all. Mannon’s not bad, Shatt’s funny but too rude, Shant has promise but isn’t -that- good. As you can see, Shannon likes playing the pose for the camera game too. These two happy kids are in town just for the night as the first leg of their multi-day journey to the wilderness of Denver. Hey, people go where they go, who are we to judge? Ma and Samantha are here too as we all savor the delights of Macaroni Grill. All that’s missing is Club S and Manduh and it would have been a full boat!
Happy birthday to me!
Culver City for my 35th birthday with the sibs. Just for my birthday, downtown Culver City is having a block party. There’s drink specials and free tastes all over the place. I don’t know how the sibs managed it but I’m glad they did.
Mmmm, pizza
Still hanging out in Pasadena and today we’re getting pizza. I can’t remember the name of this place and the sauce we got inadvertently had bell peppers. Even though I really, really, really hate bell peppers the pizza was still really good.
Workin’ joes
I’m hanging out in the LA area for a few days which means working in weird places for a few days. Matt does this all the time too so I’m seeing how he does it. It’s a little weird because I work from home at home and he works from home in coffee shops. We’re at Novel Cafe in Pasadena and it’s unbelievably cool. They have coffee, power strips, comfy chairs, food and, AND beer. I may never leave.
Even better than Kelly’s boobs
In following our tradition of rarely celebrating holidays on their given day we’ve moved Mother’s Day to today (about 2 weeks late). The sibs weren’t here 2 weeks ago but could be here today which just works out better for everyone involved. Kelly is sitting right next to me and it would be nice to feature her cleavage all up on here again but look at Matt. How could I deny this face?
Deep in the OC
Yeah, I know it’s been a while since I posted. It’s hard when I’m staring at a computer screen (almost) every day at 6:06. I still don’t know exactly what to do but we’ll see. I’m mulling over ideas. At the moment I’ve flown to the Orange County Airport to meet Dad and Matt and later Manduh to have some dinner and hang out in LA for a week. My feet are telling me that it’s time for new shoes so we’ve gone to Sketchers to do something about that…it’s made Matt unbelievably happy, as you can see.
