Actual blog work at beer and blog
I haven’t made it to a beer and blog event for a while so I was very happy to be back at the original location at the Freakin’ Frog. We’ve had a pretty good turn out and as the photo shows, we’re actually doing some work on a blog. That almost never happens.
Wow, lens flare
Taking pictures in the Freakin’ Frog is always a challenge because the light is so widely varied. Today we get a pretty serious amount of lens flare but it’s still a fun picture with Mikey and Linda Lou. Linda Lou has written a book “Bastard Husband: A Love Story” (Hopefuly I got that title right) which is working its way through the publication process right now. I’ve been waiting to read it for a while and I’m happy to say that any day now I’ll get to do so. You can find some excerpts on her site and be as excited as I am about its imminent release. Linda is one of those insanely talented people that I’m just in awe of. She writes, does stand up comedy, has a podcast and manages a catwalk prowl, just walking from place to place, with what appears to be effortless ease. I’m always amazed at the variety of people I’ve managed to meet though work and Linda Lou personifies that in every way.
Another blogging Thursday
Thursday at The Freakin’ Frog is becoming quite the regular event. It’s nice to have something to look forward to other than just the weekend. Tonight was special because Lori brought cupcakes from RetroBakery. Frankly, RetroBakery puts the Cupcakery to shame (in both flavor and price) and AND they do full size cakes! The cupcakes in question were bacon maple and they were far better than they sound. Bacon in a cupcake just sounds wrong but it was so delicatly done the whole experience was like a pancake breakfast (but sweeter and better) in a cupcake. Unforunately the cupcakes were pretty much history by the time I got around to taking a picture tonight but luckily Mikey and Carmen, a couple of bloggers with a lot to say about just living in our fair city, were here to make the 606 picture interesting.
The mind eraser
It’s Thursday and you know what that means, Beer and Blog at the Freakin’ Frog. It might not look it but this is a blog related activity. Sean from LibationBlog is filming some content for his site. Keep an eye out for upcoming posts in which you may hear me (as well as other Beer and Bloggers) cheering in the background.
Beer and blog fun
It’s Thursday so Beer and Blog Las Vegas it is. I’m talking with Mikey and Katie and having a beer or two and generally relaxing. This week has been, thus far, awful and I needed a serious unwind tonight.
Another good Beer and Blog Las Vegas
Beer and Blog is fun as always. Got beer, got conversation, I’m good. Although, I’m a little too zoned to be my “super social” self today. I decided to be my “semi-social quieter” self. Which is better than my “anti-social, retreating to the gloom of my apartment” self. I like how this picture makes @mikeyvegas look like something out of a horror movie.
