Working with Lady Pepperbottom by my feet

Manduh has wanted this status since she was 0 years old and now its hers. It’s been in my grandparents house forever and at this point it’s actually gone past tacky and into kitchy and retro cool. The sad part is that I find myself reaching out and almost petting her…it. Dammit, it’s a statue, not a real dog!

Chloe the queen of the castle

Samantha’s computer is acting the fool so I stopped by on my way home from work to take a look at it. This is one of those things that will take me minutes to look at but hours to diagnose over the phone so it’s just easier this way. There’s still too many dogs in this house. Ace, Ally and Chloe run this joint, don’t let anyone tell you differently. Ace and Ally you’ll remember from dog wedding. The problem is that Ally gets so excited that she pees if you pet her so you just have to ignore this hyperactive dog until you get her out the back door as she’s wagging her tail ferociously and doing the SCUD missile thing right for your junk. Ace was unfortunately abused by his previous owners (whom I’ll be hitting with a brick if I ever meet them) and so he simultaneously cowers, barks and whines until you go over and make him let you pet him. I didn’t phrase that wrong, it’s just the only way to describe it. Then there’s Chloe, pictured above. She’s a nice old broad of the canine variety but takes no guff whatsoever from the two younger dogs. She’s a little older, a little slower and just enjoying her twilight years in a sunbeam on a quiet Thursday evening.

Canine nuptials

So calling this a dog “wedding” might not be the best way to phrase it but Samantha and Heather dressed up Ace and Ally and we took them to the studio for some wedding photos. It’s possibly a little blasphemous but I’ll let you in on a secret, it was also really fun. Keeping the dogs on the table and looking in the right direction while making sure the costumes stayed on, all the while trying to take pictures that looked good, it was complicated and challenging all at the same time. Taking pictures of dogs is also relatively simple. They don’t get all the weird shadows and stuff people do. If this computer programming thing doesn’t work out it appears I have a good secondary career.

No food for you

Actualy if there is any dog I would feed non-dog food too it’s this one. This is Izzy, Jennifers greyhound. We are hanging out at Chris’s house waiting for everyone to show up before we go to the company Christmas party. Taking a cab there, taking a limo back. We got responibility covered so we can go be irresponsible responsibly. If that makes sense I predict a fabulous time and if we are lucky no one will regret it.
