A little tech support
Hawkins has had a major computer meltdown so I’m letting him borrow some computer diagnostic cables. He’s got this thing about how I never let him in my house (totally untrue) so I -made- him come upstairs, into the apartment to get the cable so he can stop saying things like “Todd never lets me in his place”.
Mattapalooza IV
Happy birthday, Matt! Every year Matt’s (not Malex Matt, a different one) birthday becomes somewhat of a grand celebration. It falls on the leading edge of a whole lot of stuff after a bit of a lull and as such things can get a little crazy. Crazy mostly happened last night though and today it’s just a great pool party at Sharee and Kim’s new place. They have a pool with nice big living room and family room areas connected by a kitchen. I’m not sure they know it or not but we’ve found our new party venue.
Komol with Chris having best Thai food ever
Chris is in from out of town, visiting for the weekend. We’ll be taking a cullinary journey all over the city for the next couple days. Today we’re at Komol Kitchen which is, by far, my favorite Thai restaurant in town. This was the restaurant that taught me I could handle Thai food back in college. Mostly for a single thing which is their Thom Ka Ghai (chicken/mushroom/coconut milk/curry) soup. I have ordered that soup at every Thai place I’ve ever been and it’s just better here. The rest of the food is good but there’s tons of good Thai places. Komol Kitchen’s soup is the biggest reason I come here.
Housewarming extraveganza
Nick threw a party now that he’s moved into his new place. Tons of great food, tons of alcohol. It is a great recipe for a great night. I even managed to get a pic of the illusive George in the background. We are going to attempt an initiation into the T-bomb club tonight. That’s 8 t-bombs in 2 hours. It’s a very difficult club to get into. I’m not sure I’ll make it and the drink is named after me.

This is not at 6:06 but is funny as hell. Look behind Chris. There are 3 guys having lunch together and all 3 are on the phone. It boggles the mind.

Big conversions going down tonight. We are waiting for the last of 310,000 records to move and morph from point A to point B. Hopefully there won’t be any major problems and we’ll get out soon…but I’m not holding my breath.

Sounds like they should be a band. Turkey dinner and gaming at the Shiverbakers. After this week I can use a relaxing evening with friends.
