Workin’ joes
I’m hanging out in the LA area for a few days which means working in weird places for a few days. Matt does this all the time too so I’m seeing how he does it. It’s a little weird because I work from home at home and he works from home in coffee shops. We’re at Novel Cafe in Pasadena and it’s unbelievably cool. They have coffee, power strips, comfy chairs, food and, AND beer. I may never leave.
606, now in HDR!
The iPhone has this new HDR functionality that’s actually kind of cool. We’re driving westbound into LA and normally this picture would be insanely blown out but now it’s not too bad. NB: Driving West into LA at sunset is not the best idea you can have.
No wonder my bag was so heavy
My last trip to SLC was hard. The entire time my bag was -really- weighing me down and I couldn’t figure out why. Before setting off For LA and Portland I had to figure it out so I dumped -everything- and here it is. Turns out the approximately $42,389.21 in change in the change pocket was what was making it so heavy. Something squoze out all over the inside of the bag so it’s going into the washer now.
Bloodsucking Vegas, good clean vampire fun
I’m hanging out with JY at Sunrise Coffee and he’s reading this book that I just finished that we both really enjoy. Bloodsucking Vegas: a vampire noir is a vampire novel with a Vegas twist to it. It was a really fun read and since I live here it was especially fun because I recognized all the non-fictional places in the book. I highly recommend it. I just really enjoy the vampire genre if it’s done well. Twilight and most of the Anne Rice books don’t count as done right, just in case you were wondering.
Pixel the Christmas ham
I’m sitting here and working way too much so for your entertainment and mine here’s a picture of my cute kitty
