Explaining Poken to Ma and Gma
Pokens, for those not in the know, are the newest implement to assist in social media connections in real life. You get a Poken and make an account and then you assign all your social media contacts to it. When you meet someone else with a Poken, you “high four” them and all your contact info goes right to them. In one fell swoop (not swell foop as I was raised to say) they can find you on Facebook, Flickr, Twitter, MySpace, LinkedIn and so on and so on.
Wakey, wakey
I couldn’t take it anymore and finally succumbed to a nap. I’ve been working a lot this weekend and with the wind going it is just killing my allergies and making me really sleepy. I was planning on a short nap but thankfully the 6:06 alarm woke me up from a nap which had spiraled out of control. I guess I’ll be able to get some work done now.
McMullins Irish Goodness
McMullin’s Irish Pub is a pretty sweet bar. They have a really nice variety of beers and whiskeys and probably the best Guinness on tap I’ve ever tasted. We’re here for this beer and food pairing thing. It’s a five course beer and food tasting and it’s really great. The best part is that after five courses of beer and food I’m going to go see “Zombieland”. I’m pretty sure the movie’s going to be good but this way it’s going to be -awesome-.
