Pinball Hall of Fame

05.01.2009

Hawkins has been bugging invited me to the Pinball Hall of Fame about a jillion times and about half the time I’m in Boulder City, half the time I’m already occupied (movie, dinner, no shape to drive) and the last half the time I’m sleeping. It’s uncanny. Last weekend I had friends in from out of town and we were looking for something to do and it hit me, we should go to the PHoF! I picked up my phone to call Hawkins and had two simultaneous realizations

1) He was out of town that weekend
and
b) He was going to be -pissed- when he heard I finally went and he wasn’t here

Went we did though and for the last week he has been giving me nearly daily grief over it. So today, I had no plans whatsoever for the weekend. Nothing from now till Sunday evening so I said that if there was an excursion, I’d like to go and so here we are. This place rocks BTW. It has pinball games from the 30′s to today, all functional, so you get to wander the decades of changing pinball technology. What’s stayed pretty much the same and what’s changed drastically. It’s definitely a blast and I’m sorry I waited so long to get down here.

I was really starting to get a complex because Todd would NEVER go with us when I invited him to join us. Then, when I found out he went without me, I cried for nearly an hour. It was embarrassing! But, all has been forgiven. Todd joined us for some pinball action and we had a great time.

On our way out we stopped by to play this game called “Ice Cold Beer”. Todd pointed out the irony of choice of names for a game for kids.

Speaking of which, if you guys ever want to go have a contest on the Ice Cold Beer game, please let me know… (and in unrelated news, this tweet from Todd on Friday)

    ;)
