Welcome to Vegas
03.17.2009
Cousin Des has moved to Vegas and to help welcome her and get her acclimated to the town we went downtown for St Patrick’s Day. Samantha and Heather made their outfits and were sporting holiday pride as you can see. The weirdest thing about tonight is that I’ve run into about a dozen people I know and weren’t expecting to see. I didn’t think I knew -that- many people in town. I haven’t been downtown in ages. It’s actually kind of cool. $1 roulette, cheap drinks, cheap food, it’s just like Vegas used to be. We even got a machine to spit out nickels into a bucket! How quaint.

Short sleeves… *sigh*
No, Justin. SLEEVELESS, not just short sleeves.
We tried to go to the White Chocolate Grill at Eastern and the 215 last night, but it is the same strip as Fado’s and they must’ve been having some sort of concert or free beer or something because the lot was completely full and people were parking at other lots (Red Robin, across the street at Grimaldi’s etc.). It was a mad house and we couldn’t find parking! Looks like you guys had fun though!
That’s where we started the night. Fado’s, since it’s the Irish pub in town, went all out. Beer tent and a line around the building to get in. It was amazing. Thankfully we thought ahead and got there and then left and went downtown before it got too crazy.
Even then we still had to park at Red Robin.
You know what was really quaint was when Des called me yesterday because she was trying to figure out what Ciego was doing. “He is just sitting next to me, what does he want”, he is an old blind dog with 3 good legs I think he may want the sweet gift of death … or he was peeing … or he just peed … maybe he was guarding her.
Or he was resting.
