Guess who came back! (for a week)
01.13.2009
Pennie’s back in town for her bi-monthly-ish trip to Vegas. Unfortunately I can’t really hang out tonight because I have a vendor dinner to get to. I’m trying to remember and I’m pretty sure this is my first real official vendor sponsored dinner. It’s at the Venetian which means it should be pretty cool. I certainly have no problem talking about our company or our implementation of the product we puchased from them but I’m still just a tad nervous about the whole thing. Let’s all hope I don’t say anything embarrassing.

When you say “bi-monthly”, do you mean “twice a month” or “every two months”? It seems that I’ve read that the “bi-” prefix can mean either.
I would be stabbing myself in the eye with a fork right now but it’s not nearly as funny when no one can see it. Personally, in reference to time, I use “semi” to mean half and “bi” to mean 2. Bi-monthly = 2 months, semi-monthly = twice a month
Matt can probably guess why this is how I fall on the “bi” usage
I sure do and it always confused me too, I read it as every 2 months.
Did you say anything embarrassing.
