Holy…freaking…crap

It snowed. In Vegas. A lot. According to what I was reading this is the most snow we’ve gotten in recorded history which started in 1937. At this point it has been snowing for 5 hours and hasn’t really stopped. That meant that my car was pretty much covered in snow. I was faced with a dilemma: How to get the snow off the windows so I could drive the 2 miles home. In my car was the following stuff
1 camera tripod
1 box cat litter
2 weekly free magazines
2 empty water bottles
1 box computer equipment
1 computer case
1 bowling bag with 2 balls and a pair bowling shoes
1 12×20 art print, suitable for framing
1 shirt
Thank <insert your favorite deity here> that I still had a shirt in my trunk from Halloween. People are all weird. It feels like I’m about on the set of one of my post apocalyptic movies. I’m going home and locking the door and not coming down till all this weird white crap goes away.

This is awesome! Mostly because this morning I was telling people that Vegas was going to get real snow this year, I could feel it. Sorry for those of you that got stuck in traffic!
How funny is it that when I leave this weather decides to show up? From the stories im hearing Vegas has a complete lack of ability to drive in the snow. On a side note I think the weather for NC is supposed to get up to 70 tomorrow
LOL is that your shirt doubling as a snow brush?
I LOLed
We warm climate fellows have never even HEARD of the term “snow brush”. Wowee.
Hey, you make do with the items you have available
Over the past five years, every time I’d go in the trunk of my car I’d see the snowbrush I used when I lived in New York, Wyoming, and Utah. It would be like 110 degrees and I’d see that thing and think, “I really should get rid of that–what the hell do I need that for in Vegas?” But I never did anything with it, and don’t you know, it was right there for me when I needed it during this last storm. The lesson is, never feel guilty about procrastinating; sooner or later things all fall into place.
