-sigh- another one bites the dust.
It is the end of Justin. He is going far, far away to a land of ice and vikings. That’s right, he’s gone to Minnesota. Tonight is part 2 of his going away weekend. I missed last night due to my extreme illness but I’m feeling good enough today to sit through some Rock Band…as long as I don’t have to say anything. I have completely lost all use of my voice. I have a pad of paper and have brought the mac along with me to talk for me. It’s very Stephen Hawking.
Make the yucky stop
I was thinking I was better today but that was an illusion. It feels like I’ve been eating glass and just trying to talk is more painful than I imagined. I’m hoping that with some rest I can make this go away. I guess I’ll see.
I do dig a good spy movie
I’ve had “The Good Shepherd” forever but just haven’t gotten around to watching it. Sitting home sick is the perfect time to catch up on movies though so that’s what I’m doing. I don’t know why I waited so long because this movie’s been really good so far. I don’t think this is what I thought it was otherwise I would have watched it by now. Better late than never.
Recuperative Mario Kart
I’ve been feeling kinda sick since yesterday so I’m just vegging and playing some Mario Kart. Unfortunately my reflexes aren’t totally up to par but it’s OK on the easy levels. I’ve noticed that the projector is getting kind of dim. It may be time for the yearly bulb replacement…or maybe a new projector.
Light cartoon goodness
A few people have recommended “Avatar” to me and since we’re in a tv-less summer it’s a good time to check it out. It’s a nice 20 minute length of episode too which means it fits nicely in between times where an entire movie would be too long. I’m only a few episodes in so far and it’s OK. Not great, not bad. Still worth watching.
Happy birthday Geeeek!
We are at the Yardhouse for birthday, day 2. I’m not sure how he managed to swing this multi-day celebration but it’s been a good time. Not pictured, because this is a family show, would be Ho Peep and her sheep. Both are inflatable but only the sheep is…functional.
Thanks for paying attention, coffee place!
You may not be able to tell but the sign on this coffee shop has the words “Free Wi-Fi” in a letters as big as the phrase “Now Open”. I’m glad businesses are starting to see that this is a necessary service that they should offer. Before it would have been considered an edge case where not -that- many people wanted it but with 6 million iphones floating around and another 10 million to be sold by years end (according to their projections) that’s -a lot- of people looking to pick up a wi-fi signal on a regular basis. This just happened to be a sign I passed on the way to geeeek’s house for some poker and birthday shennanagins. It is promising to be quite a “to do”.
