Need a project
I’ve been feeling the need to do something hobby-like at home so I picked up the pliers tonight to see if this is it. If not then I’ll have to keep looking. In the meaning it’s chainmail and “Dead Like Me” as long as we have episodes. Oh and I have a harddrive to install in the Mac but that will be a little later and I face it with some trepidation since the last upgrade didn’t go so well. Second times the charm?
PTs crew
It’s a PTs Friday. Not a big one. Just didn’t want to head home yet. If we’re lucky there may be sushi in our future. If not, well, there’s always TV at home.
Hooray for bread
I ran out of kleenex (small K, I’m saying it’s the generic term, bite me) and since I can’t go to the grocery store for just one thing I find myself in the newly redesigned bread aisle. It’s so perfect and well ordered I almost hate to grab one off the shelf. Luckily, fate helped out and as soon as I turned into this aisle the exact kind of bread I wanted jumped off the shelf and hit the floor. It was kind of weird but I took it as a sign and bought that loaf instead of a different one. It’s like picking up fruit only after it falls to the ground.
So not dealing right now
I’m -still- not feeling 100% well but at least I’m not feeling well in different ways. Now it feels like crazy allergies and I only feel like I’m going to barf when I eat. Motivation to clean, barely measurable at the best of the times is now completely absent.
Time for some new TV
So after rocking a pretty awesome fever half of last night and throwing up the rest of the time, I’m not really feeling up to anything strenuous today. To that end I have started watching “Dead Like Me”. Created by Bryan Fuller of “Wonderfalls” and “Pushing Daisies” fame. You know how I feel about those shows so I can’t believe I’ve waited this long to check it out. I’m only partway through the second episode but I am loving it so far.
Superbowl 40-whatever
I’m at a combo Superbowl/Baby shower. It’s an odd combination but interesting nonetheless. I’m happy to report I’m actually kinda into the game. I didn’t think I would be but it’s been interesting. The baby shower thing was kind of weird for me though. I just don’t have that much experience at them and it’s weird picking up new social skills at my advanced age. Hanging out in the back, ooh-ing and aah-ing as necessary seemed to do the trick though. Congratulations to Doug and Kelly and their successful procreation!
The A-Team
Since football is finally over it is a possibility of showing up on a Saturday night to Steiners to visit Nikki and Shayna. They are definitely the A-Team of the bar to manage the amounts of drunken sports fans they have to on Saturday nights. It’s nice to see them in their element. I don’t think we really get to see them in full form when we see them at lunch.
