Now that’s funny I have a copy of “Once” and have heard nothing but really good things about it but I just have to get around to it. There’s just so much Guitar Hero to play and a roommate to agree to watching what is, effectively, a musical. As for cinematic diversions, I watched “There Will Be Blood” this weekend with Ma and it was beyond awesome. It was intense and conflicting and, well, -everything- a movie should be. It was also 2 hours and 45 minutes and worth every second. I love me a long movie. If you’re a fan of cinema, make sure you watch this movie.

Fair enough. I do like my cinematic diversions to be at least 90 minutes…

BTW, I didn’t see your list of top movies for ’07, but does it mean anything that in the theaters “Once” was the only movie I saw twice last year?

Look, in movies guns and bullets don’t always perform as expected, otherwise there’d be a whole lot of movies that would be waaay shorter

This "Helvetica" trailer doesn't really do the movie justice but I'm posting it anyway. I'm not posting a "3:10 to Yuma" or "War" trailer since I'm pretty sure we've all seen them. "Helvetica"

Casting, lighting, staging, sets – excellent. I just had a hard time staying with (read: believing) the last few action scenes. Also, in the end, who was the bigger man?

I was talking to you and suggested you see it when we spoke at 4:30, I think I said it is what a western is supposed to be.
