Parasol at the Wynn
A year ago we went to the Parasol bar out back at the Wynn and had what has to be described as the absolute best mojito on the plant. We went back tonight to see if they could reproduce the experience. They may not have managed the entire experience but with the drink they came through wonderfully.
Nova!
Nova’s in town for the weekend and I convinced her to go to PT’s as we do on Friday afternoons. I talk about my friends a lot so everyone has heard about Nova and she’s heard about everyone else so this is a perfect opportunity to have everyone meet..well, everyone. Hargrove and Rodric are doing a good job as you can see…on the giant red tongue.
Toasts suck
Hanging out at PTs, the most convenient bar for us. Pennie isn’t in
town that often and not here tomorrow so we’re hanging out tonight.
And it doesn’t get more complicated than that.
Ralphie!!!
Ralphie May is still the single best comedy show I’ve ever seen live.
He’s not the best comedian, objectively, but we saw him in San Jose
and he was awesome and therefore holds a special place on my heart.
The trash pile
So I didn’t get as much houseworky stuff done this weekend as I wanted
to. We’re making up for it today. 3 bags of trash and a busted
suitcase also full…it’s so much better to get this all in the trash
than in our apartment
Computer overload
I’m watching a DVD on the mac and editing pictures on the Windows
virtual machine…on the mac. It’s a little weird but I’ve managed to
get a Windows install on the mac and it is very exciting. I finished
up all the Halloween picture editing so feel free to peruse them at
your pleasure.
Shayna and Nikki, the BEST reasons to go to Steiners
We come here a lot for lunch but not so much for dinner. As previously
mentioned, between the ever present sports games and loud sports fans,
it just isn’t our scene. Saturday is the only night we consider it
because of these two wonderful bartenders. They take care of us all
week long for lunch and sometimes you just a little TLC on the weekend
as well. During the week it’s one or the other but on the weekend they
get together and become a dynamite duo. Yeah I’m rambling on but they
really are that awesome.
