The other Malexes are just imatating

Team Voltron, assemble! Back together again, the original, the one and only, Malex. We’re bouncing around Utah today doing various weekend activities. We’re on the way to Borders to pick up the new Harry Potter book and then it’s on to roller derby. Roller derby? Roller derby! It’s The Death Dealers vs The Bomber Babes. It sounds like fun but really the highlight is the new book. Of course I can’t do my standard and just lock myself up in my room and read it for the next 10 hours straight but I’m sure I’ll find time here and there to fit it into our weekend schedule. We don’t have huge plans while we’re here, playing it fast and loose and making sure we hit up some good restaurants. When I said I was coming here the only thing ex-Utah livers told me was places to eat. Evidently that’s what you do here…I’m comfortable with that.

Live from McCarran!

We’re still really going to UT to visit Matt. I know, I can’t believe it either. I really can’t believe how bad a picture this is of me. I also can’t believe how freaking heavy his bag of comic books is. This is a brother’s lover personified. 83lbs of books on my back for the plane ride to Utah.

Just for Matt

We’re going to visit Matt in Utah this weekend and I have been informed that I come with comic books or I sleep on the lawn. Comic books it is. I’m trying to come here more regularly but it’s just in the wrong spot for me to get over here real conveniently. There’s not a single other thing I need to do in this part of town. I guess it doesn’t matter. Alternate Reality could be all the way across town and I’d still go to it. It really is that awesome.

Blurry Alex

For once I got a picture of Alex when he wasn’t paying attention. Now he can join people in motion blurry poses. I don’t know about you all, but I kinda like these pictures when they come out right. I’m meeting with Ma and Alex before I go back to messing with the database again. I had hoped this would take 2 days to split all this data but it’s looking more like 3. Nothing ever goes to plan. I need to learn how to be more pessimistic with my time estimates.

Chicken and rice, oh yeah

I’m sure to get comments about this but I don’t care, it’s going to taste good. It’s also really simple. Make a box of Rice A Roni, make some chicken according to my previous instructions. Mix and put on a plate. Simple. Easy. Awesome. Then it’s back to working on database stuff.

In case you needed a reason to watch

We’re running out of stuff to watch. It is a really dry summer, not a darn thing on TV. Luckily my wonderful brother turned me on to “Burn Notice” and it’s pretty cool. I’m a big fan of Jeffrey Donovan in the extremely few things I’ve seen him in. OK, that was only one other show (Touching Evil) but he was good in it and was good enough to follow to his next show for sure. I pulled up pictures of Gabrielle Anwar just in case the roommate needed any extra incentive to give it a shot. He didn’t really need them but they’re good pictures anyway.

The new Malex

Since the breakup of Malex it’s been a little bland at times on this site. To combat this we are auditioning new cast members for the role. This is Paul, a friend of Alex’s from high school. We’re on our way to Spamalot at the Wynn which they better not screw up or I may burn the place down. You don’t mess with the Grail. To prepare we are hitting up Pink Taco at the Hard Rock for some pre-show dinner. Nothing like eating mexican food and going to an enclosed environment…this is going to be cool one way or another.
