More Moore!
I’ve been a little busy this past weekend for any big reading but now it’s back. I just finished “Bloodsucking Fiends” and am now on to this book. It’s not flowing quite as well but we’ll see how it is when I get further into it. I’ve read 3 other books by him and they’ve all been good to fantastic and I have no reason to believe different about this one. It’s a great way to spend this post work evening.

Matt has a 6th sense for when I’m taking the 606 picture but he wasn’t paying attention tonight and I got him! Matt…in his natural habitat. Staring blankly into space. We met Ma for dinner at Memphis. We haven’t been here in ages and it seemed like a good idea. I’m just taking it easy today after going out Friday to the Frog and last night to the Double Down. I didn’t get crazy but it was a couple really late nights.
Good times at the Frog
Trevor, our illustrious DBA is off to greener pastures in the Bay Area so tonight we give him a send off worthy of the warrior he is. We went to “The Freakin’ Frog” It boasts a selection of some 500 beers and is truly an enjoyable time to try to get to them all. They even have some very pricy Trappist brews, made by Trappist monks in Belgium and blessed by God. Now that’s a good beer. They also had a dude in the corner playing piano. He didn’t have a fantastic repetoir but it was reasonable and it was nice to have background music. They also have some sort of members only “Whiskey Attic” upstairs with a ridiculous selection of whiskeys that we didn’t check out but also seems kinda interesting. My only complaint is that the bar was kinda small, they could definitly do with a little more floor space. If your in Vegas and want to try something cool though, check it out.
X-ray city
I had a chiropractor appointment and she wanted me to get some x-rays so I had to go to another office to get them done. It’s 6:06 and my original appointment was at 3:30…it’s been a long afternoon. I’m feeling better though and she seems pretty cool allthough she told me one of my legs is shorter than the other one and I was vaguely insulted. I’m not sure if this is a fixable situation or not, I guess we’ll see. All I know is they did this electoshock-monkey thing on my back and then a deep tissue massage thingy followed by an ultrasound doodad. Totally worth the $15 co-pay!
Nostalgia
It was on, Donald was at my house, how could we not watch “Robocop”. The best part is that as we kept watching it scenes kept surprising me. I kept thinking that this scene or that one was from “Robocop II”. Like the toxic waste scene. So now I actualy have no idea what happens in the sequel. I hope it comes on Starz because I really don’t think I could live with myself if I went and rented it.
Black hole sun, won’t you come…
I had dinner with Justin and Jessi and on the way to drive them home I was kinda driving in the sun and we decided this would be a good picture. I wasn’t really sold until the whole sun turned black and stuff then it got interesting. Now I’m home for a little reading and a lot of sleep before work tomorrow.
Books!
I am saved from a life of addiction, prostitution and religious zealotry! My books finally showed up from Amazon. Allthough now I’m meeting some friends for dinner and will have to wait to read them. They’ll be here when I get back though…oh yes…
