I am such a slug this weekend
06.25.2006
I spent all day yesterday watching TV and it was pretty cool. I decided to do it today as well. To not feel like -quite- such a slug I am doing laundry until the basket is EMPTY. I’ve been dancing around the issue for like 2 months and today is my time, -my time-, to defeat the laundry basket. There have been many battles with heavy casualties on both sides. All fought to a draw, but it is better to live to fight another day than to fall to defeat. Today, I win the war.

In case you think I’m being melodramatic, I just threw my chrismas shirt into the laundry. The one with the snowmen. I don’t wear that shirt after the 25th of December, not ever.
That is REALLY bad, worse than me bad! Last time I did laundry I emptied the basket, but alas it is full again, it only takes like a week!
I watched “Superman I” with Matt on Friday, and due to the fact that a) we watched the extended edition DVD that had extra scenes in it and b) I had never really seen the movie all the way through (just bits and pieces on TV), every 4th scene or so I would look over at matt and say “What movie is this??” It was an eye-opening experience, or eye-closing for matt, rather…
“Goonies never die!!!!”
Adam used a phrase “Count down to rediculousness” and it was hilarious. It was around the point when Supes turns back time by rotating the earth. Hey Adam find that quote with Sam Raimi talking about using only the first hour of Superman for Spiderman.
Yeah, we kinda forget how bad that movie is since we haven’t seen it in so long.
It is still entertaining though.
It did get me quite excited for “Superman Returns”, though… That John Williams score is top notch.
-blorf-
It was funny watching the movie with Adam because he didn’t realise the music in the previews was from the movie.
Here is a list of all the good shit that John Williams did. I took out lame stuff and things we never heard of.

I didn’t know who you were talking about until I saw “Space Camp” in the list.
John Williams wrote like 2 good songs somewhere around the Raiders/Star Wars days and has been re-using those tracks again and again and again for years since. For others in this phenomenon please see Danny Elfman. Some would call it the “feel” of the composer, others would call it laziness.
Add John Williams to Todd’s Red Hot Chili Peppers list: It’s CraAap!
People keep paying him for the same song so why would he write a new one?
He’s the sympton, the problem is that people are made of stupid and settle for mediocrity. Actualy settling for mediocrity I can handle. It’s the rewarding mediocrity that drives me insane.
I disagree.
I also did laundry this weekend, I also shampooed the carpet in the hallway (or Ciego’s toilet), cleaned the kitchen, paid bills, and some other boring stuff. I just sorta started watching House myself and I really like it. But it turns out that Brian Singer is the Executive Producer so that is awsome.
You tell ‘em, Matt! John Williams ROCKS!
I admit he may borrow, but he’s still far from being a mediocre composer.

YOU create something like inward singing! You fucking shit!
You fucking sit in your tower!” -Tenacious D
