I hate technology…but I am so pretty
Ongoing phone and other technology problems have made me realize that I’m about 2 seconds from moving to a cabin in the woods. Until further notice 606diaries is going to be not made and sent from a phone but taken with a real camera and typed in by the keyboard on my desk. This is a picture that you’ve all been waiting for from a couple days ago. It was a great party. Lots of costumes, lots of fun. Too much tequila shot checkers.
So many TVs
I’m having dinner with Rodric before we hit Lowes for some costume pieces. There are so many TVs in this place. They have some good pizza though. Makes the endless channels of sports bearable. I’m missing yesterdays post because it is locked into my new phone. I was very disappointed to discover that the new phone is having problems working in te Cingular data network. It’s working as a phone but not so good as mail/web tool. Which means it’s not doing 606 so hot. Do not despair though, I found instructions on how to hack the phone to work with Cingular like it’s supposed to, and as soon as my cable comes in, I will do so. luckily this isn’t the kind of hacking that requires me pulling the phone apart. I’m no good at that.
Moms new chair
Mom is helping me with my Halloween costume so I’m in BC. She got this hideous chair at a yardsale for $10. It’s very comfy but look at it…so foul. That would be Matts hand in the picture as well. He just couldn’t handle not being in the 606 picture since he was there. He’s such a camera whore.
MythTV hacking
I’m over at Justins helping him hack his new mythtv machine. Mythtv is like Tivo but it runs on a normal computer. I’m not sure how long I’ll be able to hang though. The Paris turned into The Mermaid Bar and then the Hootie and the B lowfish Bar and miniature bowling at The Silverton. We were out way late last night and I don’t think I’m full recovered.
Time for some friday night fun
It’s been a while since we’ve gone out. Too many things going on, too tired, no one into it but tonight the stars aligned. Rodric, Pennie and I are going to the Paris for some dinner afterwards. I’ve never been to the Paris before. I used to be vigilant in checking out all the new casinos but these days I’m pretty ambivalent until some reason pops up to visit one.
Ordering pizza and watching meat
I’m hanging out with Don tonight which means PIZZA! We are going to watch “Trancers”, a classic film with Tim Thomerson and a very young Helen Hunt. Until the pizza gets here it’s “Good Eats” the meatball episode. Hmmmmm meatballs, glaaaaaahhhhh….
And now for something completely different
Some of us have never seen “Akira” so we decided to have a little movie night to fill in the gaps. Since I am writing this after the fact and Matt is snoring in the corner I can safely say he isn’t going to make it through sleep free. Maybe if we had started earlier, but first we had to take some pictures. Matt and Alex have switched places and relived some of the most famous 606 pictures. Read the comments for the fun.
