Disaster!
So we had one little thing to do before the server was 100% complete…and now both of the system drives are paperweights. At the very least it’s going to be a complete OS reinstall, at the most it will be that plus I’ll have to pay for the replacement drives if Newegg doesn’t cover the crap ass product that blew my harddrives. Let’s hope for the best.

There’s nothing better than late night In ‘n Out burger. The comedy show tonight was fantastic. Stanhope and the local comics were hillarious and Tommy Rockers was a pretty cool bar. I’ve never actualy been other than for lunch so it was fun to see it in a different light. It turns out that they do this free comedy thing every last Tuesday of the month. I am definitly going to add it to the calendar.
More firelfly
I made it halfway through the season the other day and now it’s time for some more. The first half of the season is good but the second half is when it gets really, really good. I’m quite looking forward to it. I’m heading out to Tommy Rockers later with Smoot to see Doug Stanhope. I love comedy and watching it live is the best. Should be fun! Evenings with Master Smoot are always good times.

This is the best picture of Matt ever. Only he and I know why he’s laughing his ass off but let me tell you it was funny. We are at Ma’s house rewiring her light switches and outlets since she repainted her room. She’s feeding us KFC so it’s worth it. Work with Matt is always pretty comedic so it ought to be fun.
Firefly lives!
With “Serenity” coming out at the end of the week I decided to run through the “Firefly” season before I see the movie. It’s been a while since I’ve seen the shows and I forgot how much I really liked it. I don’t know why they cancelled it. I’ve heard no good justificaion. My theory is that they cancelled it because it was a good show. They seem to do that a lot with anything original or different or quirky. I can’t believe “Lost” is still on the air. I was fearful of that getting cancelled all last season. I fear for “My Name is Earl” this season. I’ll just have to hope for the best.
Oh this isn’t going to be good.
So Aliens vs Predator is on HBO and I’m going to watch it. I fear it may be a mistake since I’ve already seen that guy who played Bishop in “Aliens” playing the head of the Weyland corporation and he has no good reason to be here in a movie set in 2004. It will hopefuly still be an enjoyable mindless movie. After this I’m playing with computers again, the new hosting box is ready for some configuring I think.
New gadgetry
I’m having dinner at Memphis with Matt and Matt alone. Club S had to skip out. Matt wanted to talk to me about the little blue wonder in his hands. It’s an indestructible Sandisk jumpdrive mp3 player he got for bike riding and stuff but he’s having some operational issues so I’m helping out. Now, anyone raise their hand who’s surprised that I fixed the problem about 30 seconds after I got the player in my hands. Matt asked me how I do these things and I just don’t know. I’ve been touched by the technology fairy…he touched meeeee…..ahem ignore that.
