We’re having dinner at Ma’s house because Bubbe and Zade are in for a quick visit on their way to Park City. They’ve decided that’s the best way to beat the Phoenix heat. I can’t say I blame them. It’s worse there than here in the Summer. Matt and I are reconfiguring Ma’s entertainment center, namely, by removing the VCR. It’s been exhibiting behavioral problems and this is how we deal with elecronic behavioral problems…a quick trip to the dumpster.
It always catches me off guard how hot it is in the summer. I can deal but it always seems hotter than I’m expecting.
I had to turn my ac on yesterday at 2:00 because it was just too warm, then I turned it off at 5 because it was too cold. Summer is brutal!

Crap, I just realized that I didn’t turn the A/C up when I left for work which means it’s been attempting to keep my apt at 70 degrees all day…-sigh- the electric bill’s going to hurt this month.

Yesterday it was 122 in Laughlin. Dude.
When we arrived in Park City it was like 98 degrees which is a far cry from vegas heat but the place we were staying at didn’t have A/C. Mom and I shared the guest room and we both justslept on top of out prospective beds with no sheets. The next day was much nicer though . . . besides the boredom.

The word you are looking for is “respective” not “prospective”. See I’m still cranky from the heat.
