Spaghetti factory
Restaraunts with the word factory in them are just going to get axed off my list of places to eat. We had a truly mediocre dinner here and I don’t think I’m going back anytime soon. Sushi Factory started this idea in my head and the only thing to save it may be Cheesecake Factory but I don’t know since I’ve never been there.
Bonus time!
This is not at 6:06 but is funny as hell. Look behind Chris. There are 3 guys having lunch together and all 3 are on the phone. It boggles the mind.
Who’s a widdle kootie pie
Matt got tired of making funny faces so he’s making Alex make a funny face. We attempted to go to Coldstone but, faced with a line that was out the door, decided against. It didn’t look like a special. Must just be something about getting icecream with your kids in the summer.
Return of the laundry-sicle
I swear I just did this but here we are facing either doing laundry or wearing emergency underwear. I don’t know what else to do tonight. I started a movie but stopped it. I started reading but stopped. I think I will use this as an opportunity to fix the sound on my computer. Ii l foolishly allowed MS to update my sound driver and that was the end of sound.
Argh!
The trip home has been remarkably uneventful. No u-turns, no blown tires, but now we are 10 miles out from the Dam and traffic is just crawling. I haven’t seen it this bad in a long time. Luckily we all “went” in Kingman which should hold us over until we get to BC.
It’s Zade!
It’s after 6:06 but the only thing I was doing was reading comics with Matt in the motel. This is my grandfather, otherwise known as Zade. He was incredibly surprised by his surprise party. There’s about 40 people here and my Bubbe put it the best when she said that the average age at the party was 70, and the only reason it was that low was because of Matt, Manduh and I bringing the average down. It was surprisingly fun however, and it’s always cool to see Bubbe and Zade.
On the road again
We’re heading out to Phoenix for Zade’s 80th birthday. It’s a surprise party so we are sneaking into the city unannounced. Matt, Ma and I are driving now. My aunt and uncle Janice and John drove up this morning and Manduhs flying out tomorrow. That’s it for the family contingent. The rest of the party will be friends from the book and movie clubs and old friends in general. It ought to be interesting anyway.
